Remarks

Overall I would say my college is a great place to study along with doing all the curricular activities at the same time. I would only complain about the college timing which is from 9 o'clock in the morning. For students who live a little far from the college, feels troublesome to wake that early in the morning to reach college on time.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is just the same as all other engineering colleges in India. But our college is different in the co-curricular section. As it provides a special classroom to groom yourself in the job sector. For examples, there are spoken English classes, body language grooming classes, industrial communication classes and many more. And honestly, these classes help you a lot to face interviews, group discussions and other presentations.

Placement Experience

3.5

The major companies that visit our college are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL, Berger Paints, Cognizant, Microsoft, Reliance Infocom, etc. Almost 60-70 percent students get placed every year by in campus placement procedure. The institution helps the students to make their resume worthy of getting a job by providing internships and projects.

College Events

4

The college has its own events like fresher's welcome event, Annual fest - Nascent, Annual sports event etc. It organises many technical and literature fest and webinars throughout the year. The annual fest Nascent is the biggest fest of Heritage. It's one of the most famous college fests in West Bengal.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The semester fees of my college are around 45000. Which makes the whole college fees around 3 lakh. There is a hostel facility which has different fees. And there is a bus facility too with its respective fees. Out of these, there are no additional fees. All mode of payments like money draft, bank transfer, and paying the fees in cash is available.

Fees and Financial Aid

I opted for a minority scholarship. First I registered my information on the respective minority website. Then the college verified my documents and processed the scholarship. The college gives scholarship to sc and st students. I don't know the exact amount for that.

Campus Life

4

The gender ration of our college is just near to half-half overall with a handful of more boys. But in the streams of mechanical and civil engineering, the number of girl students is negligible. Ragging was never in the culture of our college. Every year just an introduction session goes on between seniors and the new students. The college respects all the religion equally. The college is not biased to any religion. Politics was never an issue like other colleges.

Hostel Facilities

4

I didn't opt for a hostel but I know a bit about it as some of my friends opted for it. The girl's hostel is inside the college campus and it's well maintained. There are many buildings with neat and clean infrastructure with the best possible security. The boy's hostel is outside the college campus around one kilometre away. It's also a nice and comfortable place to live and study.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the senior students are like mentors to us. They are there every time we need them. The junior-senior bond in our college is well cherished.

Admission

It was difficult to choose what stream I would study after my high secondary exams. Without thinking too much I gave all the engineering entrance exams. And I cracked wbjee and got a decent rank. And from the online counselling, I got this college as the best choice. This college is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata.

Faculty

3.5

Every teacher is different from the other. It's impossible to have the same experience as everyone. In my course, we have 14 lecturers at most. Many of them are undergoing their fellowships. Soma is doctorates. Most of my teachers are experts in their respective subjects and are experienced in providing education to us.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
