College management was good enough to take care of its students.

Being a Structural Design Engineer in a reputed Consultancy company, I got a lot of helf from my academics and from the industrial tours and trainings, which were organised by our college. We were well groomed by our faculties to a level such that we could stand straight in any industry related to our stream.

A lot of companies visited our college. Namely, TCS, WIPRP, INFOSYS, ITC INFOTECH, etc visited our college. Almost 70 percent of the students were placed.

Our cultural fest and tech fest was one of the most reknowned in kolkata. We had freshers ceremony. And events such as robowars, build a bridge were common in techfests. Many students from the colleges in kolkata and outside came for active participation.

We used to pay an average amount of 37000 per semester, which sums upto 3 lakhs for the entire course. This was the only fee we had to pay. Moreover we also had concession on many occasions such as for students whose family income was less than 1 lakh. They had full concession.

Yes I opted for scholarship. Since, I lost my father at the end of 4th semester. I was given full concession for all the semesters after that.

Since I was a civil engineering student we had only 6 girls in our class. But the rest of the departments had at least 1 /3 rd amount of girls.we had a very reknowned cultural fest. And the sports event was also a thing of attraction for the other colleges in kolkata and nearby.

Yes, we had hostel facilities, But it was limited it was always given based on first cum first serve basis, like who used to take admission first were alloted hostels first. We had two girls and two boys hostels on the campus.

We fetched a lot of help from our alumni. Any problem we used to face, we ran to our seniors in college life. Now the scenario is not same though. But if we face any technical issue, we feel free to ask our seniors.

I had a rank around 4500 in WBJEE and I opted for Civil Engineering through e-counselling process. It was a online platform where one could fill up his choices for colleges and streams. And they would get preferences based on the WBJEE or AIEEE rankings.

Our college our was from 9:30 a.m to 5:30 pmm with a lunch hour of 45 minutes at 2. We had 6 lectures everyday of 45 minutes. Every faculty of our stream was dedicated towards teaching his/ her students. Every faculty was post graduated from a reputed university. Some of them were Phd.
