Remarks
It should have improved in college infrastructure and placement facilities that could play a big part in an institution's reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B. Sc Computer Science course was reshaped for our Btech course. It was somewhat relevant (But not so much compared to other engineering institutes). This was a 8 semester course but there were subjects here and there which I don't think should have been a part of the course. But the professionalism of the professors was great. Coming to the research driven thing ummm not so much.
Placement Experience
Placement was ok. But the students didn't bothered much as most of them opted for higher studies in the future. So there was very less activity regarding placements in our college.
College Events
There was a yearly fest and departmental fests also took place time to time. Also there was a freshers party that is ritual in almost every college. The annual fest budget was not that great but the show nonetheless was something to was. The lit up students eyes was the main objective of the fest which I think was completed in any way.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As its a government college fees is very less. Talking about my course the annual fees was only 8000 ( including the exam fees). My total expenses in college was around 35000 which is very low comparing to other engineering colleges which is minimal of 10 lakes for 4 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provided quite a few scholarships. But the education cost was so less that only few students actually tried for the scholarship and it provided around 80 percent rebate in their college fees so taking that rebate they have to pay only 1000 for their tuitions which is negligible.
Campus Life
The campus life is good as the delhi university is known for its campus culture. And the gender ratio was quite good around 60 for men and 40 for women. There were technicals fests that used to have many gaming completions with exciting prices and there were also debate competitions that were quite exciting too. There was also a theatrical society called Dhwani which was one of the best theatrical societies of the whole university.
Hostel Facilities
There wasn't any hostel services provided by the college as the fees was very low. But some students which lived far from college could rent a private pg(there were many near the college which were affordable for students as the college fees was negligible.
Alumni/Alumna
Actually our program was only a one time course that was being offered by delhi University. Its no longer is active. So there were no such seniors for us as they were from a different course and ours was a different course whole together.
Admission
Based on 12th marks I cleared the cutoff for my college. Then applied for admission in this college as its one of the best science colleges of Delhi University. And due to the reputation of DU I decided that the FYUP (Four Years Undergraduate Program) that they are offering must be a great way to shape my career.
Faculty
There were around 4-5 lectures a day 6 times a week. The average age of the professors was around 35-40 years and atleast 30 percent of the professors were a PhD holders. They were quite experienced in their subjects carrying around atleast 10 years of teaching experience with them. I cannot comment much about industry experience at this moment.
