Remarks

College management lost focus around 2008-2009 when placemens started getting weak. They did not retain our former Placement incharge who had good rapport with companies. They could have looked at taht aspect more seriously. They did not give due weightage to company briefings and mangement of the placement process professionally. Placements have been seriously hampered post that relatively when compared to other colleges. Moreover the college management was involved in money making through admissions of managemennt quota students.

Entrance Preview

I took UPTU exam scored decently enough to get this college. KIET in those days was the second best Pvt Institute affiliated to the UPTU. Placements were decent and so was the fee. Hence opted for this college. Moreover I got IT as my branch which I was aspiring for.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

IT curriculum included a broad mix of subjects in the firs year. Actually the subjects were same for all branches. Since second year until fourth year electives started getting specialized. 2nd year was more with basic IT courses along with specialized mathematics, systems, algorithms,C & Java & practicals. Thereafter it was core IT electives with some managerial electives too.

Internships Opportunities

No stipend was there. The internship had to be availed from outside the campus. It was difficult itself to get into a decent company hence stipend was not a prerequisite for me.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements were decent with major companies like TCS and Wipro which offered closer to 3 lac p.a. Apart from them small companies from Noida,NCR came to the campus or invited us outside. Their packages varied from 1.8 lac p.a. to 3.25 lac p.a. Very few of our students even got packages upward of Rs. 6 lac p.a on their own accord from core manufacturing companies.

College Events

3.5

EPOQUE was our techno-cultural fest and it was a good fest considering the location of the college was inconvenient for anybody coming from outside Ghaziabad. The events were a mix of Technical,Managerial (1-1.5 days) and cultural (1-2 days). Some events overlapped but were carefully planned not to create a ruckus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible during my time. I don't know how expensive it is now when compared to other colleges. However here was a management quota also where student's were charged.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm unaware of the loan facilities. However scholarships under UP government were there for economically weaker sections of the society which the management provided information for. However there was nothing stopping the brokers to influence the students to apply and take a big cut. Moreover not all these applicants were eligible.

Campus Life

4

They were there but could be improved. We had a big ground, basket ball court. Debates and robotics were not focused upon much hence a PD session or workshop every year could have benefited the students more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities for first year students were great with a separate mess also. However post second year the hostel was common with deteriorating food standards and space was also limited in the hostels. I mean many of us had to shift outside the hostel since rooms were limited then.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni network as such. We interact rarely and whenever we do we use FB. College seniors were open and willing to help one out in case of trouble. However due some local studens of Ghaziabad through management quota there was a bit of friction which was created by the time we left.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was mediocre nothing too hectic or too chilled out. 4 years had 8 semesters and hence 8 exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
