College management should involve some funds for research and should start special consultation from top universities. As I know there is huge potential in students there but they are working like unguided missiles. Wipro,TCS,Infosys,HCL,TM etc should not be the ultimate goal.

I have undergone with UPTU entrance exam that used to call UPSEE. I have scored Gen Rank 450 and I choose this college because of some stories heard in past time.

Course curriculum was standard course as per UGC,UPTU norms but something that I loved was Infosys Campus Connect Program PD Lectures R&D Lab and most important, TBI Technology Business Incubator by ministry of HRD. Where I have started my first startup in first year itself.

I got my first internship in initial days of my final semester. Campus placement was pretty good even in the days of recession.I cracked the interview with several MNC and got a package of 3.25 LPA at that time. Stipend was also good and in figures it was 10k per month with free food coupons.

Management is quiet supportive in placement and our seniors used to guide us for placement. Number of mock test series was running for aptitude and PD as well. That was immense help. Almost all normal service based MNC used to visit our college. Infosys,TCS,TM,Wipro are mass recruiter from KIET.

There was an internal community specially for MCA. MCA DIT and I was an active member in that. There was also a core community for college that used to get involved in college fest,tech fest,sports events and other stuff. I got privileged to work with both communities and college fest used to be awesome. In short I enjoyed those three years of my life.

Fee structure was average not too expensive and not too cheap. Almost 10 of friends joined MCA in different colleges. If I talk about fee structure thanI could rank KIET at 3-4 in increasing order. So 7 out of 10 colleges were expensive than KIET that time.You can also submit your fees in two instalments after taking permission from finance quiet easy to take that.

I don't know about any scholarship or loan from college. But I have done my studies with the help of Edu Loan from PNB one more thing people whose family income is lesser some upper cap used to get full fee reimbursement from Government. Jan Kalyan Vibhag. Don't know much about that. Yepp you can avail loan for starting some new venture with innovative idea with the help of TBI (HRD India).

College life was awesome till the date I can say those three years were best three years of life. Sports was not much but we can understand that we are not in sports college. Sports fields were not such big so there was fight for that. Labs were sufficient and well equipped. KIET is one of the best college in Robotics and there is company named Sapro Robotics in TBI. College canteen and Masala Dosa was awesome.

It was so hostel facilities used to be good and people really enjoyed that with night library facilities. I used to be a day scholar but sometimes enjoyed mess food from backdoor. Not that bad as people used to tell that.

Alumni network is not a task of college still college used to organise Alumni meet every year. Some people love to interact but still all the seniors respond to messages over FB, LinkedIn and everywhere. So alumni ecosystem is quiet robust even without any special support or procedure.

Apart from university exams there was 3 internal exams and your internal marks used to be average of best two. Apart from internal exams,class assignments,test,attendance and your performance also used to be counted for your final performance. Overall decent exam structure there.Exams was exams in real senses.

College faculty was nice and supportive. Some faculties were extra ordinarily good and focus towards research in engineering was remarkable. I got two research paper published even in my college days and that was all due to supportive faculty and HOD sir.
