Remarks
I got admission to GEC Palakkad via KEAM and the followed allotment process. The best thing about our college is that we have a complete campus life, enjoyment, freedom, celebrations, etc. The faculty and all the teaching staffs are highly qualified and efficient. The infrastructure is very much pleasing and the canteen is a nice spot to pass time. If I have to point out some drawback it would be about the locality. The college is located at a remote place which some might find hard to access.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing my bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department provides you with the best assistance. The faculties are highly qualified and other staffs help students in all aspects. We have faculties who have PhD and Mtech. The lab and workshops provide practical knowledge.
Placement Experience
The students are provided with campus placements from their third year. Several companies visit colleges frequently offering great offers to students. companies include TCS, UST Global, Litmus7, Infosys, etc. The highest package offered in 2020 was 6LPA (Byju's) and an average package was 3.5LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is governed by the university and the same for every government college. The college provides all kinds of scholarships available and acknowledges the students about any upcoming scholarships. The college helps every final year student with placement training and that helped me get placed in one of the top companies with the best CTC.
Campus Life
The annual fest of our college is known as Invento which is always the best time in the life of a GEC-ian. Mostly it is conducted during March-April. The library available in the college provides all the help a student needs in his/her academics. Classrooms are well furnished and have projectors to provide digital learning. The college conducts sports meet and other extra curricular fests.
