Anonymous's Review On Vishwakarma Institute Of Information Technology - [VIIT], Pune

The college became autonomous in 2017. This college is sister branch of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIT) which is one of the reputed college in Maharashtra. VIIT provides better job opportunities and employment for students. The college organises many activities apart from acadamic studies which motivates students having special skills. The Gandharva is one of the loved event in the college which helps in personality development. I opted for B.tech (IT) in this college , because IT, Computer and Entc these branches have higher placement records in the previous year.

The course curriculum is quite good. We have updated syllabus. The faculty takes various activities in order to provide better understanding of concepts. They try to solve all doubts asked by students. We have little bit different acadamic structure than SPPU university as our college is autonomous from 2017. The IT department faculty prof. Bagade Mam and Suruchi Mam take efforts to make student understand every concept. We also have Industrial Visit in our 3 rd year for industrial exposure which helps us to understand the IT industry.

The placements in VIIT are quite good. Over 300 Companies visit the campus every year. Almost all the students from IT, Entc and computer are placed in a good company. The job profiles are offered based on whether it is a product based compnay or service based. Mr. Krishna Purohit(2018-2019) from Department of computer Engineering Got placed in Amazon with a Package of Rs. 28 Lakh Per Annum. sengineering is one of the most difficult branches in the whole world of education, students pursuing engineering need to get in touch with the industries in between their whole course. Internships are given in companies like Atlas Copco Bharat Forge, Ltd. Forbes Marshall Sandvik Asia Pvt. Ltd Tata Institute of Fundamental Research The alumni network is very good. Alumni visit college and interact with students regarding placement activities.

Our College organises Technical and Cultural events every year. The most awaited and loved techno-cultural fest is "GANDHARVA". All students participate in this event with very enthusiasm. We have a lot of cells in our college which helps students to socialise themselves and helps to indentify hidden skills in them. Some of central cells are NSS, EDC, CEC, CSI and ITSF. Our college always supports students for verious activities. In "GANDHARVA" along with cultural events the technical events are also arranged and outside students also participate.

I availed the "tuition fees and examination fees to VJNT students" which gives the scholership to VJNT students and not required to pay full fess. There are also various scholerships available for students belonging from specific category and admitted through CAP.

We don't have a big college ground for sports, but we get a lot of support from college to take part in sports activities. The wi-fi connection is also quite good. Equipment in labs are also good. In short, we have all required equipments in good condition. Size of the library is good and sufficient enough for all students.

I did not opted for hostel. I live in a rented apartment with my friends. If you wish to opt for a hostel the average hostel fees range from 80 k to 1 lakh with mess included and around 50 k without mess. But, most of the students prefer living in a rental house with friends or in a PG. If you opt for PG it will cost around 4 k per month. Hostel facility is easily available in college area. The private hostels are preferred over college hostel.
