Course Curriculum Overview
It has the best curriculum possible with absolutely world class research facility. We do have mandatory internship for credits. Ramakrishna Sen, Pinaki Sar, Satyahari Dey are some of the professors who used to be very helpful
Internships Opportunities
Yes, i did my internship in Scripps Research Institute, Florida, USA during end of third year in department of Cancer Biology. The stipend amount was of 3500 USD per month
Placement Experience
There will be a placement drive held every year in the month of December after end of first semester of final year. It runs for about 15-20 days where in multiple companies including MNCs and global corporations attend the drive. We have huge alumni network where referrals are of much help. There is also an Entrepreneurship cell (E Cell) a society in IITKGP. Multiple startups were started by our batch mates
College Events
We have a socio cultural fest called spring fest & Tech fest called Kshitij and since they are organised at a huge scale, participation is a lot and also from different states and colleges/universities
Fees and Financial Aid
We have scholarship for economically backward classes for exemption on tuition Fees. I myself have availed the the loan for OBC category and it was for about Rs 100000 every year that is half in each semester
Campus Life
Best sports facilities like Gymkhana, multiple grounds for practise. Also has best wifi available. Asia’s largest library in terms of total number of volumes of books being available and labs have best equipment which are very effective
Hostel Facilities
Best food will be served in halls of residence and in house food stalls available round the clock. Also we have CCD & Nescafé outlets everywhere. Multiple restaurants within campus are available too for 24*7
