The factors that made me choose this college were: 1. Competent Faculty. 2. Mind-blowing Campus 3. Excellent reviews from seniors. 4. Not far from home. I am a localite 5. Easeness of travel (The college is near to the local railway station)
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is based on SPPU and first-year subjects are common for everyone. We also have extra language learning in the first year(Was french for us). Academics: Each year is divided into 2 semesters. You need to earn more than 120 credits to graduate at the end of 4 years of the program. Faculties: The faculty quality ranges from new young teachers to experienced faculties those who have completed their PhDs and have more than 10-15 years of experience.
Placement Experience
The placements are not that high as compared to other colleges in Pune. The top recruiting companies that visit the campus are TCS and Infosys. The alumni network sometimes can help in getting placements but is not that great. There are also 2 start-ups which our college alumni started and they are now going successfully.
College Events
DY is always famous for its campus life. The extracurricular activities, technical and non-technical student clubs, and the annual fest of the college make the college a lively place. Every year, some or the other celebrity/singer visits the campus on the annual cultural fest and makes the college much more popular with other students as well.
Campus Life
The campus is just WOW. The labs for computer science/IT people are attractive, well equipped, air-conditioned and so much more. There is an ALL-IN-ONE college library in the college filled with 100's of books for every program ranging from Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, and many more. All the books are updated and the library staff is also very helpful. There is a big basketball and a football ground on the backside, which is quite a walk from the main campus. Also, there are fountains at the center of the campus surrounded by gardens and is a total serene thing.
