Remarks

I chose this college because the rank that I got in wbjee equalises with this college and I got the best stream of this college and moreover the college is also very beautiful and it has no restrictions as that of which are there in iem.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was always up to the mark. We were provided with industrial exposure. Most of the faculties are very good and generous as they always listen to our doubts and always tries to clear them and one of them is SPR mam.

Course Fees: INR 370000 per year

Placement Experience

TCS is the main recruiter and last year around 200 students were placed in this company. The placement cell is average and some good companies also come to the college offering a package above 8.4 lacks. Entrepreneur cell is also good.

College Events

Ecclesia is one of the biggest cultural fests in the whole Kolkata and other good technical fests are held in our college and a lot of students including the outsiders also participate in these fests.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
