The college management is quite good.No disciplinary issues are there the college or on the campus.Very strict about attendace percentage.

I took WBJEE (West bengal Joint Entrance examination) and opted for this college. I got in this college with a rank of 2682. I donot remeber my score in the exam. I opted for this college as I always wanted to work in the core sector. And believe me I was very right in choosing this college. This is a very specialized sector,i.e the power sector.It requires very logic and understanding of the course and I reasearched everywhere family, friends, seniors, internet and NPTI was the answer.

The course of power engineering is a mixed up course of mechanical engineeering and electrical engineering (actually as the days go by its 70%mechanical and 30%electrical). First year has very common and basic subjects (physics, chemistry, maths, basic thermodynamics, fluid mechaics,computer sc etc )the specialization starts form the second year of the course. After that It is well divided applied thermodynamics, fluids, power plant operation, electrical machines.

No, My college doesnot provide internships but, it sure does take up responsibilty to take up plant visits to renowned plants such as D.P.L,D.T.P.S(DVC) AND MANY MORE.

Fee structure is in accordance in with the university.its quite feasible with hostel the fees are 48,000 per semesterwithout hostel the fees are 39000 per semesterat the time of admission it will cost around 50,000.At the time of placement 10,000 will be charged.book bank fee is 5000.But one advntage is you dont have to buy books for 8 sems

Gender ratio is very bad:boys to girls=20:1. So, you have to bear with iit.there is no social life as such.hostel life is awesome but there is not so mcuh as a campus life in this 15 acre campus,though there are football matches every evening. There is a UC (utility centre) within the campus which serves as a sealing point of sancks to copies and books.

Hsotel life is awesome. Common room has table tennis facility.It also has a widescreen T.V. High speed optical fibre internet connectivity via wi-lan.The B.Tech division has been allocated two hostels. Hostels have a mesmerizing atmosphere.

Seniors make the understanding of the subject much easier. They provide us with the study materials and the that are needed.

Exam structure is in accordance to the university exams.apart from the teachers regularly quiz us and ask us questions.Labs are done with quite interesting teachers.They explain everything to us the theory,the practical portion,the implementation in the industry
