Remarks

The GEC Idukki is the one of the wonderful engineering colleges in kerala. It has a good traditional building with vast amount of space, with the good reviews and seniors talk I've chosen this college.

Course curriculum is awesome with KTU, Should be accurate and focused on the class and should be self paced too, thus it makes perfect sense to make out all the skills outside from us and to upgrade us by the new learning pace. the faculties also help with their standards

Placement Experience

Dedicated placement cell provides best quality learning and better hang towards cracking and getting the jobs from the top institutions and gt more results in the outgoing batches.The latest batch has the best results with 98 percent of placement rate.

College Events

Extra curriculum is so great with the hobby clubs and the cultural activities, with our annual fest i am able to gather so much experience and information regarding the activities in the college.Extra clubs like IEEE and NSS also provides better knowledge

Campus Life

Hilly area,the college situating on a remote area so transportation is some risky and it's on our risk for the daily transportation if the admitted students are from the other districts.But if you get onto that every thing is fine.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
