Remarks

This is one of the top college in West Bengal. Once I learned that I got chance in this college I never thought of going to any other college. The placement is high, the education i top notched, what else do i need.

Course Curriculum Overview

As i said the college is top notch. The teachers are extremely qualified. Everyone has a PhD degree and not just that, most were guest lecturers of other prominent colleges. The course was up to date and the practicals sessions were also beautiful.

Placement Experience

The placement records are amazing. All the students gets placed by the end of the course into reputed companies. The mean salary is about 4.5 lakhs per annum and the highest can reach up to 12-13 lakhs.

College Events

the campus life was good. we had a large play ground where we had all the college events. we have two big events every year and we have a lot of fun here. other small small events takes place from time to time.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
