Remarks

Good infrastructure. Quality of education is very good and the college focuses on the overall growth and development of students. Students are encouraged to innovate and explore. Professors are extremely knowledgeable.

An updated course syllabus is followed as per MAKAUT's curriculum. There's enough industrial exposure. The faculties are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and encourage students to go for more. The appreciation of the faculties encourages the students to be more innovative.

Provides good job opportunities for the students. The college has a good placement rate and is visited by many reputed companies. Students are pre-trained properly in order to ace the job interviews.

College Events

The biggest event in our college is the annual tech fest where people come from several parts of the state or the country. The perfect place for innovators and creative minds to show their talents. It is a wonderful platform for students to display their innovative creations.

Campus Life

The Infrastructure is really good. There's a playground for students. Wifi is provided in every Digital Classroom. The library is quite big and there's a variety of choices available for the students. The lab facilities are quite good. There's a cafeteria for students providing them the perfect place to chill and have their dose of caffeine.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
