Remarks

The college is very good and affordable. It does not demand high marks and students come from from different socio-economic background. The location is very good. Transportation facilities are good too.

Course Curriculum Overview

We follow the syllabus of Calcutta University. The Faculties of all the department are very reputed and well known in the university. The professors are very supportive and friendly. The non teaching staffs are sometimes rude though.

Placement Experience

We do have a Career Counselling and Placement Cell in association with Dr. Bodhisatwa Bardhan Choudhury. However it is under development since we do not have any recruiters. We are given regular training and counselling sessions.

College Events

4.5

The events that are celebrated are Annual Fest, Freshers, Farewell Party, Sports Day, other cultural programmes and inter college competitions. We have a photography club too and a student's union.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
