Remarks
I aspired to be a doctor since childhood hence I opted for MBBS after class 12. I wanted to be a doctor who is empathetic, disciplined and dedicated towards his patients and profession. According to me serving humanity is one of the noble profession. I was alloted Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital by West Bengal University of Heath Science based on my competitive rank. I cherish the green, peaceful and motivational faculty members of my college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Medical career being one of the professional courses is being updated from time to time. After completing four and a half years of academics, we have a year of compulsory internship in the respective hospitals. Amazingly our faculties turn out to be colleagues. They are motivational as well as helpful.
Placement Experience
MBBS course includes four and half years of academics along with one year of compulsory internship in the respective hospitals. After that, they can work as health officer or even pursue MD for postgraduate then specialization in the respective streams.
College Events
Almost all national and regional festivals are celebrated by students as well as other fraternities. There is an annual college fest with includes intercollege events, competitions with participation from other colleges as well.
Campus Life
Medical Colleges campus includes both academic building, hospital, hostels in the same premises. There is a multipurpose playground within the same boundary. Library is well stacked with journals, magazines, research papers besides books of all the subjects including both foreign and Indian authors. Labs are equipped with all necessary tools and instruments in adequate number.
Hostel Facilities
College has separate hostels for students, interns and other medical staffs (boys +girls)with respective common rooms equipped with gym apparatus. Room are being shared by two(generally). There is a canteen with good food quality at an affordable rate.
