Remarks

I heard from my seniors that the faculty is acceptable, there are many seats so students scoring moderately good marks can get into it easily. Also the fees is quite less compared to other government colleges. Moreover, it's easy route from my place.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is moderate, ranks are high. Seniors are frank and helpful too. Professors take classes diligently. Online classes are taken every day during the lockdown period and notes are provided. Also, the teachers are available at all times for queries

I don't have any idea yet as I'm just in second year. I hope this field of questions can be answered by seniors or passouts or can be found in the college website. Interested candidates can also enquiry such things in the office.

College Events

Fests and fresher's are amazing and celebrations for various festivals take place which require minimal amount of donations. Participation are open. However, the college doesn't participate in events and functions organised by other institutions.

Campus Life

The campus is not that good. It is clean, not too much though and there aren't adequate fans for 126 students per class. However, the classrooms are big. There is no wifi, no such lab facilities. Library is good.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
