Remarks

The Electronics and communication engineering Department is the best department in our college and the ECE department of our college is one of the best department among various other colleges in kolkata which offers a course in electronics and communication engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty and staff are quite good. Whenever you have any doubt on any academic topic irrespective of the subject,they are always ready to help you with your doubts. Also our college changes it's course every few years to keep updated.

Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

The most common companies which visit our campus each year are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant,Infosys,Wipro,Oracle among various others. Microsoft also visits our campus but once every 2-3 years.

College Events

Our college has 20 clubs like singing club called the resonance club, entrepreneurship club where you are taught new ideas to start your own business, science club dealing with various science topics,gaming club known as DSC among various others.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
