Heramba Chandra College is very famous for its commerce department in kolkata. I loved commerce since class 12. I wanted to further study this subject. Heramba Chandra College is under Calcutta university which is also very good

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are very lenient and they do not take classes properly. They hardly come to class to give lectures. They are absent most of the time. Also there is no pressure for attendance so most of the students do not come to college.

Placement Experience

We do not have any placement cell in Heramba Chandra College. So we have rely on the external sources for placements. The alumni networking is not that good but some alumni are still a part of our college.

College Events

The campus is very old and shabby. The building is very small itself. The washrooms are horrible and there are very less washrooms compared to the number of students studying in the college. But the library of the college is good.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
