Remarks

It's located in Bhubaneswar which is the capital of the state Odisha, and hence we can get more exposure here as compared to any other towns of the State. Further, it had a greater placement record as compared to other Private engineering colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is well versed after the college got the Autonomous tag, it added some mandatory subjects which would help us in general life. The teachers are quite disciplined and punctual with the course completion, assignment submission, lab tests and so on.

Mass recruitment occurs for companies such as Infosys and TCS. Other than that many other companies such as Accenture, Mindtree, Wipro and many more come for campus recruitments. Startup ideas are welcomed by the institute too.

College Events

We have an annual fest in the month of February or March and it's pretty enjoying. In the morning we get to participate in various events may it be fun events or competitions or quiz and all. In the evening, we have our music night. The fest is for three days and it proves out to be the best days of the year. Apart from these, we celebrate different occasions like Diwali, Holi, Dandiya night and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not apply for any such loan facility but I have heard that there is one such. Those belonging to EWS category can avail them as well as them whose economic conditions are poor. We have to submit documents which could prove the same and then we can avail of the loan facility.

Campus Life

The college has got different labs for different subjects and most of them have working instruments. There are some labs where not all the instruments work perfectly and I guess it's pretty normal. We have got a huge Library with 200+ sitting capacity. We also have a book bank to issue books. As it is located in the hills, there is a little network issue over here. Basketball court, football ground, badminton courts are also there on the campus. We also have a stationary shop within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is quite nice and safe for girls. We have two boys hostels and one girl's hostel. Each hostel has there separate badminton courts. But we have the same mess - one for vegetarians and one for non - vegetarians. In the hostel, we have got balconies and one knows how much a balcony is valuable in hilly areas.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
