Remarks

Heramba Chandra College is the afternoon shift of South City college in Kolkata. It is known for its commerce department and has very good faculty. This is why i took admission in this college. Also it is near my house so it's very easy to reach the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers and the professors are not that good. The reputation was good but the teachers are not that good. So its disappointing. They do not come to take classes and they are very lenient. We do not have pressure for attendance and most of the students do not attend the classes

Placement Experience

The placement is not good. The placement cell is inactive. Very less known companies come to our college for placements and only the best students are selected. So the competition to get internal placement is very high. The alumni networking is good the old students are still considered a part of our college.

College Events

The campus is pretty old but we have a beautiful green garden which is my favourite. Also we have two huge library filled with books which is a huge plus point of our college. We have several fests. These fests are organised by our student union. We also celebrate Freshers and teacher's day with a lot of enthusiasm.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
