Remarks

The heramba Chandra College is the alma mater of my father as well. And i wanted to study in the college where my father studied. It's a very reputable college and is known for its commerce department throughout kolkata. It is also easy to locate and it's near my house as well

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are very lenient. They do not come to classes to teach. Most of the days they're absent and they're hard to reach. Also the syllabus is not completed. The students are very lazy and as there is no compulsion for attendance most of the students do not attend the classes.

Placement Experience

The placement of our college is not that good. Like most of the colleges in kolkata heramba Chandra College does not have a proper placement cell. Very less students are placed every year and others have to rely on external sources for placements.

College Events

The campus life is not good even though the students are friendly. The building id very old and dirty. The management is very lazy. The events are organised by the student union. There are two huge libraries and the classrooms are huge which can hold upto 200 students at once

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
