Remarks

I like commerce because of accounts and some i wanna pursue CA. It's my ambition. Heramba Chandra College is very well known for its commerce faculty. It is also near my house so i took admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers unlike the reputation of our college us not that good. They're very lenient and they do not come and attend classes regularly. Various colleges across kolkata had online classes but we didn't.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our college is not that good and the very less companies visit us during placements. So the students have to rely on external sources for placements. We also do not have internship opportunities so we again have to do it on our own.

College Events

The campus is very old and had taught many generations of students. We have various clubs like literary cultural dance music art fashion etc. We also have student union which organises fests and other events such as founder's Day and Fresher's.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

I decided to pursue b.com because i have strong interest in accounting and finance .The syallus of this course is good and covers important subject like taxation and cost accouing snd business law.it would be great if the college added more computer based traing .

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I Didn't take any admission test, process is easy Just type in ur documents and wait for the list and then it is done. For me personally my nake came in the second list As I was not a SC/ST/OBC student But students who scored lesser than me were selected in the first list...Read More
