Remarks

I chose bsc Honours in Economics because i had economics in class 11 and 12. i have developed a knack for it since then. Heramba Chandra College is the afternoon shift of South City college and it's very famous for its education

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are not very strict. They do not take classes properly. Other colleges had online classes during the lockdown but we did not have have them. The teachers do not come to class and teach us.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our college is not that good. We do not have proper placement cell actually but the college is trying to overcome this scenario by providing us with seminars and other counselling sessions. We had few webnars during the lockdown as well

College Events

The campus is not very good. It's a semi government college so there is no fund for beautification. The building is old and many students have studied in this college. We have a student union which organises fests every year

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I Didn't take any admission test, process is easy Just type in ur documents and wait for the list and then it is done. For me personally my nake came in the second list As I was not a SC/ST/OBC student But students who scored lesser than me were selected in the first list...Read More
