Remarks

I chose my college for pursuing under graduate studies because our institution is a government institution and offers very cheap education on fee wise and better teaching facilities, qualified teachers, good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our Course Curriculum changes every four years. It is prepared with the help of professors from top IITs.We have an excellent research and development council. We also have a well organized time table.

Class Size: 67

Placement Experience

We have a very good placement committee maintained by our faculties. Above 60 companies visit our college every year and 80% of our college final years are getting placed in good companies with a salary package ranging from 3lakhs to 20lakhs.

College Events

Campus life is awesome. We have all types of fest in even semester. And in odd semester we mostly focus on studies and other technical matters. Our college cultural fest is the second largest college fest in kerala after Nit Calicut's cultural fest.

Our campus has all facilities such as sports facilities, wi-fi, huge library, equipment in labs, physical education department, gym, canteen etc. Students can get productive even after class by using these facilities.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
