Remarks

It is a good college with less fee and more exposure. This college give you both opportunity in cooperate or further studies and to crack exam like GATE. I opted ECE because being a core branch it also offer job in cooperate side.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is completely based on GATE pattern. Being an autonomous college HITK had modified its syllabus in such a way that one could prepare for GATE simultaneously. Yes not all faculty are good but some are best.

I don't know much about other branches but for ECE both core and non - core companies come TCS and Wipro are the mass recruiter with avg salary of about 3.75lac per annum. One of my batchmate had done a startup with juice testing farm its quit good and innovative. Entrepreneur cell work quite well.

Fest are performed by the student council which is formed by election so its quite exciting and thrill time in college. And if we talk about college life it totally depends upon you how to take it. On my side my college life is quite awesome.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
