Remarks
I liked the locality the college is situated at a great place in Kolkata and by comparing it with other colleges it has big campus and the infrastructures were good. The building were shiny and clean.
Course Curriculum Overview
Outdated. We were taught C language in our 1st year. What's the use of it. Industrial exposure? Yeah they took us to a unre constructed water suppy system once, faculties were not upto the mark excluding a few. They were literally reading us out their notes.
Internships Opportunities
I did my training from Road Construction Department, Patna(Government of Bihar), NTPC Barh(Bihar), completed the Python programming course from ITM. None of them were paid.
Placement Experience
Poor, really poor. After getting the B.Tech degree they were literally forcing you to join sales job. Me being from the Civil Engineering stream, there was only one core company that came to our college and they selected around 10 students for training purpose not for direct job. If you were good in programming thing then get a job in IT sector otherwise to to Sales.
College Events
Cultural fests were based on luck. The college management didn't want to organise any event on their own. First they took 1600 form each students for the extra curricular activities then after that we collected money form our own pockets to organise the fest and even that was not enough.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn't. The college didn't give the scholarship to the students from other states. Loans form banks were available, college was supportive if there was some problem in your loan, they even waived off my late fines a couple of times due to that problem.
Campus Life
Sports was average, wifi was myth the speed was really low, my 2G network was faster, library was good, labs were upto the mark, clean, the lab assistants were also good. I liked attending labs. The professors were deeply involved in lab experiments.
Hostel Facilities
Boys hostel was not good. I don't think there was even any boys hostel. There were private hostels and PGs. The rent was between 2500-4000 based on kind of room you rent. 1st year students were not allotted any hostel.
