Samiksha P's Review On Bhavan's College, Mumbai

Bhavans College has been the centre of education from junior college level to postgraduate level for a various noteworthy and remarkable alumnus. For me it was the college that had the course I was interested in. The review I had recieved from my peers and acquaintances made it an easy choice. Secondly, location wise it was quick to reach the institute for me from my residence. This made it a better choice.

The course I had chosen was B. Sc Biotechnology. The course syllabus was duly updated the year I enrolled which made it more interesting. The faculties focused on the learning objectives from each and every topic and gave us new insights about the curriculum. We not just learnt pure book based knowledge but various practical applications and tactics of the course.

The college has a working Placement Cell which helps the students with career opportunities and also arranges various workshops and events for the same. Mock interviews, job fairs, placement related and personality development related seminars, etc. are conducted by this cell.

Various events and festivals are arranged on the collegiate as well as departmental level. Kala Mohatsav is one of the most celebrated intra collegiate events that give way to showcase our talent in various fields of art. Other than different departments hold different events which are academically fun and challenging. Amalgam is one such event students from the self-financed courses present their posters and work on various topics. Besides these events, Bhavans College is famous for its fest "O2", which has been held back though for the past few years due to certain issues.

Bhavans College has a huge campus with dedicated course wise buildings, an equipped library, well updated laboratories and an excellent office and non-teaching staff. Apart from the long lines to pay fees due to the vast student population we have enjoyed our college life on that campus thoroughly. The lake and Nature park on the campus are the special attractions and indeed motivate you to attend college regularly even study on the campus. The vast campus is situated amidst beautiful natural beauty. The campus in all gives a warm welcoming feel. We also have a canteen that famous in itself and a widespread sports ground that holds varied district and state-level competitions. Bhavans also has its own yoga centre which is accessible to students as well.
