Was always fascinated and obsessed with gadgets and new technologies, which got me into engineering. NIT Srinagar has a wonderful college atmosphere. You will love the canteen snacks and beverages. Co-curricular activities were great fun.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses provided were as per the MHRD norms. Mr and Mrs Qureshi were the coolest faculties as they would help each student with their problems, give lots of assignments and evaluate your performance with no favouritism.
Placement Experience
Lots of companies did come to recruit us. Samsung, Facebook, Google, and other Govt. companies to name a few. As far as I know, all of my batchmates have been well-placed in various reputed companies, and we do keep in touch via Social media and other modes of communication, though the alumni networking is on the lower side.
College Events
College fest was rare, given the situation outside of the campus, but we did have Techvaganza 2010, which pulled in a lot of students from nearby schools and colleges. Departmental seminars and conferences were organised from time to time
Campus Life
Loved the football ground. Have lots of memories, won many inter semester matches with my team/batch mates. The common hall was a little too small, hence remains crowded from 4-9 pm. You could spend your leisure time playing Table tennis and carrom
Hostel Facilities
First 3 years, we shared a single room among 3 inmates. It was very easy to get the hostel rooms, although it was congested for 3 occupants. Then in the final year, we were allotted single rooms, with LAN connections.
