Is SIES college a better choice for your career.

The only bad remark is that there's no ground for this college, no proper natural environment for some entertainment and all.

well, Talking about the course, its a great course as per my opinion. Information technology deals with the technology in information and communication, which involves programming and studies of various technology. There are 3 years of degree having 6 semesters in totals, each year having 2 semesters. The course as per Mumbai University is good but, it comprises mostly theoretical knowledge more than practical knowledge. The college strictly follows the University rules. as per my views the system should be improved having some more practicals then lectures but anyways, it helped me to gain lots about the current scenario of the I.T. field. Besides all that, the college provide Industrial Visits and Placements. The companies like TCS, L&T and many other companies comes for placements.

Placement in this college is quite excellent as per my experience all that student need is quite good scores in their subjects. The companies like TCS, L&T, CapGemini,etc comes to this college for placements purpose. Other opportunities like Startups, internships,etc also happens here. Mostly 78% of the students gets placements in some kind of companies or startup, all that depends are the scores. Internships for I.T department are very less while for other departments there are tremendous numbers of options.

There are many kinds of Fests carried out in this college. some fests are departmental while some are theme based like food fest, cultural fests and many more. There's a main fest for the college named DISHA, which is regarded as the biggest fest of this college. There's always a great strength of audience for the main fests and 60% of that audience for the departmental fests as well.

The fees structure is very much feasible in this college. It is very much reasonable as per the service provided here. The mode of payment includes both online through e-challan and offline through D.D(Demand Draft). All the fees are included in this fees whether it be lab or library.

College offers many kind of scholarships such as scholarships for minority, scholarships for low income students, scholarships for Tamilians as well. Since I haven't applied for any, I don't actually know about the procedure involved in it.

The campus life is quite awesome for me, almost 75% of the crowd here are from South India from that most of them are Tamil. There are many extracurricular activities like cricket, Carrom, football, chess, quiz, Talent Hunt, etc carried out here. Most of the extracurricular activities are from various Fests while some are from from Mumbai University. There are Rotaract club in the college which helps a lot in extracurricular aspects. The college greatly helps to build your career with some great experience.

The seniors are always so friendly like they are our friends, they always helps with the lectures and notes. They always helps in solving any doubts and project materials. The alumnis are rarely seen, but they are great motivators as well as helpers. Once there was a seminar from one of the alumni and it was really motivating for someone in this department. They were always appreciable and helpful for the career.

I got my admission through the merit list process, from which my name was in 2nd merit list. The admission process was quite a headache, since it took 2-3 days for the process after merit list display. I took the course of Bachelor in Science specialization in Information technology and took admission in this college hearing that this college offers a better career options in the I.T field. Talking about the steps involved in the admission process, first we had to buy a prospectus from the college where you get a special code through which one should sign up into the official website of the college and fill all the details. Next, it is required to take print out of the form and the print out of the Mumbai University Form along with the D.D (Demand Draft) of the fee amount on the name of the college is to be submitted at the office of the college. After that they will provide you an invoice which shows your admission information in it.

The faculty of the I.T section are very much friendly teachers and sir. There are total 7 teachers and one sir in this sections, all having a well knowledge and views on what the teach us. Most of the lectures are well experienced while few having experience of 2-3 years. All the faculties are always available for doubt solving sections and help regarding any project if so.
