Remarks

The infrastructure can be better with ACs and good benches. Packages offered by companies can also be increased by enhancing the skills of study especially spoken English skills for Bengali students that is very poor.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is not so tough but for getting placed in a good company you should have some skills in coding and other activities. Now, this college is autonomous and the exam is not so tough. You can score well if u study regularly. There is both on-campus and off-campus placement available here. The chemical engineering placements here are the best. The students get PSU's in very less effort because they take most of the recruitment from here like in Haldia petrochemicals industry.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are pretty good. The average package is around 4 lakhs. The placement is best in chemical engineering with the placement of 99%. Food technology is also a boon here with 95% placement. CSE has a comparatively lower package than a very good college.

College Events

4.5

1.Prayukti 2.Riviera Prayukti is a very big techno fest here. Students from many colleges participate here. The prize money is also very high. There are many technical events like a dive bomber, drone events, robowar, robobace etc. Its level is also very high.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees with the hostel are 462000 for 4 yrs with hostel charge. You have to pay for the mess according to your expense. The food is also good and has a lower price. I don't think fees here is much. No any additional charges are required other than the admission fees here.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't opted yet. But trying to do so via Bihar student credit card. Student loans are available nowadays at a lower interest rate.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good. Some students are also indulged in smoking and drinking but the ratio is comparatively less from other colleges. Girls in this college are approx 20% as it is a B.tech and technical studies college. Labs are ok and there is a huge encouragement for sports here like football and cricket. There are many sports like badminton, volleyball etc. Many cultural societies are here like SAMARPAN, NEEDS ART AND CRAFTS CLUB and tech societies like IETE, IEEE, CSI etc. They encourage students for participating in them and become a member.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes, I stay at the hostel. In each room for 1st-year students (girls), there are 4 girls in a room. They provide the mattress and pillow. The room is big enough and airy. There are common washroom and washbasin for each floor. Sometimes it causes some difficulties like when everyone has to go to college. We have to bath early due to this. But they washrooms are very clean. They are washed daily. If you want to stay in pg you have to pay approx 7 thousand for 1bhk and u can share it with as many no. of friends as you want. Mess facility with home delivery is present there.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful and give us advice about participating in various activities like in robotics, coding and workshops. Alumni are also helpful there is an alumnus meet every year but the cost is taken from the students to get advice from them.

Admission

I got admission through WBJEE. There are also other options like JEE Main and management quota. Wbjee form is released every year in January and exam held in this year was on 2nd Feb. Due to lockdown, the result is somehow delayed. You can get CSE between a rank of 4000 to 7500.

Faculty

4

There are classes held 5 days a week with 2 days holiday. The teachers are very helpful and understanding. They are always ready to help. You can ask doubts by going to their staff room or on WhatsApp or by telling them to give special time. They will also provide extra question sheet helpful for gate exam if u perform well. Almost all teachers are around 45 to 50 yrs of age some of them are young too.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
