As choose Calcutta university because fees are very less as it is a government university. Faculty and labs are quite good than other colleges. Internship and placement opportunities also present here. Students can go for research and higher studies also.

Course carriculam are industry friendly and research oriented. In 1st year every student has common syllabus. From 2nd year core carriculam is started. Apart from core subjects we have subjects like social science, humanities, computer programming, management, economics etc. After 6th semster every student will have to go for industrial training in various textile manufacturing plant. Most of the faculties are knowledgeable.

Internship is mandatory for our college. But due to COVID-19 pandamic all process are paused. Some companies give stipend. Amount of stipend is 3k to 10k depending upon the company.

Few textile companies are visited for campus placement. Some companies also offered training cum placement opportunity. Eligibility criteria for placement depends upon the companies. Maximum companies shortlisted candidates through aptitude test, gd and pi. One faculty is responsible for training and placement. Last year one foreign company recruited from our department. Many students get job though senior contact and off campusing.

As only one engineering department present in our campus, crowd is very less. No playground is there as the campus area is too small. Various type of technical conference are organised. Deligates from reputed industry are also present there. Every year department REUNION is organised by current students and alumni association.

Fees are very less, affordable for every student. Tution fee waiver scheme also there, one have to apply for it separately. Tution fee rs 3642 per semester and exam fee rs 500 per semester. Loan is not required. Merit cum means scholarship available from government for west bengal domicile students. There are also few scholarship for obc, sc, st students.

In our campus only one campus of engineering department is there. Campus area is sufficient for one department. Campus are very beautiful, well maintained and equipped with all kind of facilities. All the labs are well equipped with instruments and machinary. We have also mini mill block for weaving practical. Auditorium and conference room also present here. We have modern beautiful library stuffed will all kind of books, magazines and research journals.

I took hostel in 2nd year. For hostel one have to apply for separately in CU college street campus. My hostel is just beside my department building. Rooms are two and three seater. Mess are available. But don't expect too much regarding food. Hostel is super affordable. Fees are yearly 1600 approax. Mess fees currently 1300 per month. Best part of the hostel is free wi-fi. Common room with T.V and carrom board also there.
