WBJEE Rank was 25024 and I heard about this college and really it is. All though I couldn't make a good rank still I managed to get a good govt college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Jute and Fibre Technology has versatile list of subjects that includes Physics to machinery equipment. Interesting subjects from Computer science to fibre science, from Statistics to Electrical.
Internships Opportunities
The general stipend offered is very less although I would suggest that the college is perfect for higher studies. Generally maximum students get a good rank in Gate for Mtech and will do the higher studies.
Placement Experience
Different companies came not only from the Textile sector but also from IT Sectors. As it's a part of Calcutta University so the wide scope of chances students get for jobs.
College Events
They are quite big and usually it happens on Fest as well as in Fresher's Welcome. Students participate in the functions in singing dancing and also in drama.
Fee Structure And Facilities
8th Semester fees are taken before each semester. The fees are very nominal in amount. only three thousand per semester. so for total you will have to pay only 24000.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the loan facility is available. Different govt loans are available like for financially poor students as well as for the other students who are bright.
Campus Life
They are brilliant and perfect. In each and every aspect the students work hard to make the happening events. You won't find and sexual harassment, no gender bias or even the religion inequality.
Hostel Facilities
As because it is a govt college so the hostels are govt provided so don't expect so much but yes the hostels are good and the food is quite good.
Alumni/Alumna
Each year we have a Alumni for the students of our college. The seniors are quite helpful and guide us to get a good job. So in case of the Alumni we all meet and have interaction with all.
Exam Structure
Labs are well equipped and up to date with the required instruments. Lab assistants are very helpful.
Faculty
The College faculties are very co-operative and very knowledgeable. You can get help at any time and they are always very supportive for your education and provide the fullest support at every stage of study.
