Remarks
Faculties are good. Moreover, it is one of the best private colleges in Bhubaneswar but college management is not able to attract top companies. Wipro and Infosys are major recruiters.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is satisfactory and relevant but it is not very research- driven. The college made me a better professional by imparting soft skills, technical knowledge, professional ethics. 75 percent attendance is compulsory and indiscipline is not tolerated.
Placement Experience
Infosys, Wipro were the major recruiters. Almost 60 percent of the batch got placed from our campus. College organised aptitude classes, mock interviews and spoken English sessions to prepare students for the placement season. I didn't avail any internship.
College Events
Technical annual festival or techfest was held once every year and there were lot of events for participation like robotics, technical paper presentation, technical quiz etc. Students from many colleges mostly situated in Bhubaneswar participated in them. Cultural event held annually was known as rhythmnova. On the last day of techfest college used to organise DJ night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The program fee was Rs 91500 annually. The college fee could be either paid in cash or demand draft. There were no additional charges to secure an admission in my course. Yes, the college did provide transparency in the fee- breakdown. Overall I can say that the fee structure was feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn't opt for any scholarship or student loan. College didn't offer scholarship opportunities to student. However some of the students hailing from Odisha got some amount as scholarship from Odisha government.
Campus Life
See the campus life is good. But the campus is very small about 18 acres. Gender ratio is about 7:3. Labs were good. There is a basketball court and every year annual sports meet takes place. Moreover, Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities like robotics, singing, drawing etc. Most of students are from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Generally most of the students belong to a middle class family and they take loan for funding their studies.
Hostel Facilities
3 sharing hostel rooms. Price rs 21500 annually.Hostel seats are few. So, some students don't get hostel accommodation. These students mostly live on rent. The typical rent for a 2 BHK unfurnished flat varies from 8k to 10k monthly.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are very helpful. You can always connect with the seniors on FB,Instagram and siliconites world wide webpage for referrals.
Admission
Actually I opted for this course because in engineering almost 90 percent of students get placed in software industry irrespective of their engineering branch. Actually my cousin was already studying in that college. He told me that faculties are good and placements are good too. Moreover as I hail from Jharkhand the college was not very far from my native place. For admission into our college either you have to take Odisha jee exam or aieee exam (jee mains ). Counselling usually happens anywhere between June to July and session usually starts in the month of August.
Faculty
The number of lectures in my course was around 20. Their average age was around 38. Most of the faculties belonged to engineering background and many of the faculties hold masters degree and had few research journals published. The lectures did hold some certifications but most of them did not have industry experience.
