Remarks

As the college is an government institute the management is quite poor but the support of faculty is tremendous and you can achieve more if your welling to.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is an CBCS system which comes under TEQIP 4 and as the college is Autonomous the curriculum is set by the faculty itself which means the evaluation is also done by them. The exam structure is divided as per the subject. The paper with 100 marks are having a 15 marks of CT1 & CT2 and an ESE of 60 marks and a 10 marks of teachers assesment. Further to the exams with 50 makrs weight age is having 10 marks CT1 CT2 exam with EASE of 25 marks and 5marks of teachers assessment. The knowledge which is imparted is relevant and not in excess the well diversity which helps you grow in different aspects. Research wise there are no more activity, the professor there are having doctorate but in terms of further activities students prefer for higher rankings college.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement scene is average of the core branch and mostly companies like seimans, L&T, atlas copco are the recruiter with some local companies as Aurangabad is having a good MIDC area.the non-core branches are having a big placement drive as the companies like TCS,WIPRO, Capgemini, etc are common companies with some other companies like nividea,TCS ninja,Intel etc also place students. Paid Internship are provided by the companies like atlas copco, perkins.

College Events

4.5

The college holds evens like wings which is an technical event which hold rotocis hackathon and gaming events puzzles and elegance which is cultural event in which we have music competition, art competition etc.many other events are held and talk shows are also conducted which you can watch on GecaTV on YouTube.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fess structure is quite baised for the OPEN category as the fee is 72k in which 15 thousand is for tution fee but due to government scholarship of EBC we get 50% less tution fee so the total fee becomes 65k.if your from a caste then the fee structure is dependent for OBC it is 47k and for ST/SC it is 1500/- a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't opted for any loan or any type of scholarship but there are companies like Siemens which provides scholarship to the students.

Campus Life

5

The campus life in the college is quite normal and peaceful as the building are very old construction the college was established in 1960. After which many advancement are there including sports complex. Regarding teams which are the gems of the college includes Team Aryans which secured AIR 2 in Baha competition and AIR 20 In michemigan USA Baha competition, then there is Team formula geca which sercured AIR 27 in Formula bharat, Team cybrotics which secured AIR 7 in robocon. And many more. Some other teams of CSE department as well participate in hackathon (I don't have much info). And then there is another Team Arambh which is working with ISRO and are in asking of there own satellite.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni office is well connected and the regular functions and event are conducted by the coordinator. The seniors are very helpful and helps a lot in developing juniors.

Admission

I did my 12th from a junior college in Aurangabad and then prepared for MH-CET 2017 and secured 143/200 which consists of physics (50marks) chemistry (50marks) and mathematics (50 questions for 2 marks each which makes remaining 100marks). The exam is conducted in the month of May 2nd week. After which there is CAP(Common Entrance Process) process in the months of June and last for atleast a month after which you get a college allocated in the month of August.

Faculty

4

The numbers of faculty in the college are 48-50 and most of them are PhD and have an avg age of 40-55. There are some young professors which are not on permanent job as the college is an government college and most of them are government servants. There teaching style differ form professor to professor. The lecture that they take at pretty boring and just bookish tought there are some expectional teachers who teaches with passion.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
