Great college for learning mechanical engineering

College has a very nice management but private seats are charged very highly by the college. Faculties can be even better.

Learning was focused in the curriculum. Course was as per Pune university syllabus and projects were provided for industry exposure. It helps one in campus placement process. 2 Industrial visits were planned every year and other local visits were also conducted by some faculties.

Separate team works for the placement process. Almost all major software companies visited but for mechanical core companies were less. Mahindra and Tata technologies were amongst the few companies who visited campus. Mechanical had lower placement 40% and lower average package compared to other branches.

MIT Summit was a national level sports event with a footfall of 30k students with students from iits. Other departmental events like Axlerate also use to take place. Interdepartmental events and matches were biggest fun events. Gathering also use to take place every year on a huge scale.

Feasible with 96K per year. No additional fees are charged and college provides transparency for seats under the centralised process. Cheque was the mode preferred. However now the process must have changed as it's a deemed university. Fees are higher to be around 2L per year and should be accepting digital payment.

No I did not opt in for any loan or scholarship process. However multiple scholarship options are available once you enter the college.

Gender ratio was extremely good considering mechanical branch (9%). Robotics and Baja groups are very famous and students have been to international level for these competitions. Freshers party is also conducted very nicely. Very less politics at student level and zero tolerance towards ragging.

I opted for hostel in first year and was alloted new hostel with 2 rooms having 2+3 capacity of 5 people and 1 washroom per 5 people. Hostel was extremely well with laundry facilities. College has 3 hostels and are allocated to first year students on priority.

Every year proper alumni interaction use to take place and were helping at interaction level. Seniors were very helpful in projects and club activities. Purushottam karandak team helped me a lot in managing my cultural activities interests with my studies.

Maharashtra state board conducts MHCET exam. I wanted to study from Pune university and MIT was the best college for mechanical engineering. Post the exam directorate of technical education provides ranking list and conducts college allocation process.

Highly qualified faculties teach tough subjects. Average age of facilities should be around 45 and most of them either had PhD or were having industry experience. Faculties use to put effort in the learning process but ultimately it was based on the students attitude of learning. Individual focus was not given but syllabus was covered.
