Great college to get B.Tech degree

College management is really supportive and approachable any time a student needs any help. I am in this college for two years as this is my second year of study in B. Tech with computer science and engineering stream, I have not had to complain anytime regarding management. JISCE is an amazing college, which is more like a family to me now, to persue B. Yes, our college strictly abides by the course curriculum as designed by AICTE and MHRD, Government of India. Its very pertinent in shaping out an employable professional and secure on-campus placements. There is altogether 8 semester exams which happens at 6 months interval each. In an academic year a student has to take 2 semester exams each. The tenure of the course is of 4 years. There is enough scope for research and students publish various research works guided by our faculty members. Industrial visits happen regularly in our college. Students get to know how an industry works and they are asked to submit a report regarding their visits to various industries.

Almost 90-95% of students get placed in various companies from On- campus as well as off- campus drives. Many students have also gone for higher studies. Our college provides facility for internship as well as motivates students by organizing webinars and seminars to work as intern in various companies. All the students are encouraged to register in web platforms like Internshala right from 1st year of study to get enough scope for doing internships.

JISCE organises tech fest every year in the month of March which provides a wonderful stage for budding techies to showcase their work as well as learn and interact with students from other colleges and schools. Every cultural aspect is taken care of and every culture and religion is given equal respect and dignity. Rabindra jayanti is celebrated by department of humanities every year. Guru Nanak's birth anniversary and hanuman jayanti is celebrated to name a few.

College charges a total of 4. 2 lakhs for complete course. Fee is feasible as compared to other colleges. JISCE accepts only online mode of payment like Internet banking and no cash/ cheque or demand draft is accepted for paying semester fee. Students who takes education loan they only can pay through NEFT/RTGS mode of payment. During admission process only, college accept demand draft as an alternative mode of payment. No additional fee has to be paid except for a security deposit amount of 10000 which students get back after course completion provided that they don't damage college property and obey all the terms and conditions as mentioned in their brochure. Full transperancy is maintained and they provide online receipt after receiving payment.

Scholarship facilities are widely available for students provided by Government of West Bengal named SVMCM (SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MERIT CUM MEANS) they provide a sum of 60000 per year to students who score 7. 5 SGPA and are financially unstable.

JISCE campus is situated in kalyani which is itself an educational hub which attract students and professionals to persue education and research work. JISCE has a campus size of 17 acres with a lush green ambience and sufficient classroom and separate laboratories and workshop to perform specific experiments. Approximately gender ratio is 70% male and 30% female and 0. 1% others. Students from almost every culture across India is a student of JISCE and as mentioned earlier our college administration never discriminates anybody based on caste, creed, race, culture, religion. They provide various counselling session by experts to work out and remove anxiety, depression, hatred from students as well as from faculties mind.

Hostel rooms have to be shared between two students and JISCE has completely separate hostel for boys and girls students. PG's (Ac/ non- Ac)are available with and average monthly rent of 4000 to 5000 inclusive of food facility.

JISCE alumini association is a strong foundation. During this lockdown period only, our college has organised atleast 70 webinars and competitions. We had good interaction with senior students of our college and as many of them stay abroad it becomes difficult to fly down to college to share their experience. But thanks to technology, JISCE has already organised quite a number of workshops and student development program (SDP) invited senior students who are working in various renowned companies and some of them are entrepreneurs having their start-ups to share their experiences. We have learnt a lot from them. We have them added in our linkedIn profile and communicate with them freely.

I had interest in computers and wanted to persue a career related to computer and the technology behind it. That is why I chose computer science and engineering as my career. I appeared in CEE AMPAI exam and then got admission here by counselling process which happened in JISCE premises. During admission I had to pay a fee of ?85000 which included 1st semester fee as well as a security deposit of ?10000.

Faculties are available even after college hours and we can communicate with them via voice as well as video calls. This helps students clarify doubts, if they have any, even after college hours. Approximately there are 100 lectures in our college. Average age is 35- 40. Most of them have a Phd degree and all of them hold atleast a M. Tech degree. They have profound knowledge in their respective domain and try every possible methods to give the best of class education to students. Many of them has work experience in renowned IT companies and hold certificates which proves their merit and hard work.
