Computer science engineering college

College is in bad location, on outskirts. College does not have street lights and gets dark at night. Anyone can ennter the college and get into the department and classes. Stray dogs are roaming all around the college. One good thing is you will get cheap food around the college. Stationary shops and zerox, print out shops are nearby.

Course curriculum was theory oriented more and less practical. We got less industry knowledge and theoretical knowledge more. It woultbe better to learn more things the practical way than to get bookish knowledge. The college came under SPPU so the exams were held according to SPPU Datesheet.

Around 100 companies vist VIIT evry year with average 3. 5 package. The college arrange mock interviews and prepares you for the aptitude test and interviews before hand. Almost all students get placed through placement. Big companies like Morgan Stanley and Amazon vist the college with maximum package 30 L/anum.

College has cultural fest for around 2-3 days and technical fest as well on a big level once in a year. Entire college is decorated on these days. College provides feast on one of the day. we have various cultural theme events, dance, various games are played. Traditional day etc are followed and evey department enjoys during this days.

I had to pay less feee due to scholarship provided by government. But the college made me pay 10000 as a part of development fees. College accepts online payment, cheque. The students not having scholarship have to pay full college feee on time. College provides receipt which has all details.

I had opted fir scholarship which was for lower category students. We had to fill out a form every semester. With the form we had to submit copy of various documents related to caste, exam results, bank account details etc.

Campus life was not great I would say. We didn't have much extra curricular activities apart from fest held. We had different cell like EDC, avishkar etc which were pretty cool and were handled by students. Competition were not held in the college frequently, neither were debates. Ratio of girls to boys was 1:2 in my branch. We had students from different background as well as NRI's.

I opted for college hostel. They were recommended by college. We had 2 beds in a room. There were around 60 rooms available there. also there are lots of hostel and PG around with good rooms. During admission there will be hostel owners in the campus for giving rooms. Similarly you get the mess people who provide tiffin in the campus. Hostel opted by me was very near to college and was clean and provided breakfast and dinner daily.

VIIT has a alumni site where you can interact with th alumni and also conducts alumni meet every year, where you get to hear about the alumni and their achievements. Also you can contact to the alumni on the portal. The alumni portal is a great initiative.

I gave JEE in april. I had filled the DTE form for getting admission into engineering college's where I had chossen around 50 options. In 2nd DTE round I got VIIT pune college. I had added this college in my list due to good reputation of vishwakarma Institutes. I opted for computer engineering due to ky intrest. I took admission in VIIT according to dates provided by DTE on July 2015.

The faculty was great in the college. We had around 3-4 lecture and 1 practical evey day. There are around 30+ excellent lectures with good knowledge in their area's. Average age of lectures is 30years. Most of them had industry experience and certification.
