Cusat review

The attendance rules are pretty strict and sometimes management can drive you crazy.

The curriculum is toughest in the country and exam structure is mainly continous evaluation and internals with semester exams at end of each semester, , cusat is a very good place to enhance your skills and prepare you for being a better professional as there are a lot of opportunities around the campus.

The placement cell is quite efficient and has a 90% placement record, the placements usually start from sixth semester, the institution helps with placement oriented training and prepare you for interview.

School of Engineering is a campus situated inside the cusat campus and inside the cusat campus there are a lot of colleges so year long art, sport festivals are common, soe conducts dhishna one of the biggest techfest in kerala, medha conducted by University and lots of cultural fests too, these events contain a large number of participants.

There are three types of seats in the college all india merit, nri and state merit. The state merit students have to pay anout 45000/- and all india merit is 90000/- per annum, nri is more than these two, the fee can be paid online or offline directly to the university.

Yes there are a lot of opportunities for scholarships in the college I got the moma scholarship which was a merit based scholarship.

It is one of the best colleges for a campus life, the campus is one of the biggest in kerala and lots of great places and foods, the gender ratio is 4:1, there are a lot of extra curricular opportunities around the campus, it is one of the most diverse campuses in kerala with students all over india, the politics in the campus is pretty strong there are demonstration going on most days.

The hostels are limited and are provided considering a lot of factors like distance from home, reservation etc, first years rarely get into the college hostels they mostly stay in private hostels which are available around the campus The cleanliness is good and food is ok.

The college has a vast alumni network all around the globe and seniors are helpful mostly and most of teh interactions were nice.

The admission to the college is through common admission test(cusat cat) exam, the test is usually conducted in april this year it is postponed, after the results a ranklist would be published and you can get an admission through allotment. Cusat is one of the best institutions in kerala and is a state funded university.

The faculty is good, most of teachers have phd and are good at teaching although there are a lot of guest lecturers too, overall the teachers are really helpful and teach you in a subject oriented manner, the average age of faculty it batch would be around 30, there were many certified classes around the techfest period.
