Remarks

They really need to work on placement opportunities for students studying there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was divided into 34 subjects and 2 projects. Course has been made for industry specific knowledge and one can easily attempt for CFA if he/she is pursuing this course. We had guest lectures every week where someone from industry would come to give insights.

Placement Experience

2.5

Since, we were the first batch and this course was relatively new there were not proper placement opportunities for us that time which was a hurdle in our college life. Although, there were more than 80% people who opted for placements and were placed. The companies which came would give a seminar followed by resume screening and interview.

College Events

3.5

The biggest of them was the cultural feat where colleges from all across bangalore would come and attend it. We also had some artists coming and perform for the students. Along with that, we had cultural night, lohri celebrations, Holi celebrations, ethic days, Independence day celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is somewhat expensive and we had to pay 2. 2 lakhs for college. There was a breakdown in the fee structure which was given to us. Along with that, there was additional hostel fees/PG fees which had to be paid. The mode of payment they accepted was IMPS/RTGS.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship to anyone in the college. There were no reservations for seats in college which was a plus point.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was not so great in first year as the students were relatively less and we had to set up everything for the upcoming people. Gender ratio I would say was 60-40. There were many workshops going on simultaneously for people who want to attend it. Student parties I would say in college was 4-5 times in one year. There was no kind of discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, it was a sharing room and we had to share it with one more person. The room was very good but the hostel was kind of small and very few people could be accommodated at my time but now they have upgraded to a bigger hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

We were the first batch in undergraduation so no support for us. We had some students studying in PGDM/MBA course who would help us with things which we want.

Admission

There was an entrance test conducted on 10th May, 2016 for this college and I got my result on 1st June, 2016 that I have been shortlisted for this course. I opted for this course because I really found this course very relevant to the current market standards and I thought I’ll have an edge getting my degree from an institution like this.

Faculty

4

The teachers were masters in their field and there were some faculty members which were also teaching in reputed foreign colleges. We had 5 lectures ever day which would be of an hour each starting from 9:30 am in the morning to 3:40 in the afternoon.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
