Overall Experience of being at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering

Management is quiet good and responsive. They will solve your issues as soon as possible. Management is quiet strict in case of following rules and regulations.

My course was of 4 years which is divided in 8 sems. Each sem is roughly of 4-5 months & also you have study different subjects in each sem. You cgpa will be based on Insem, Endsem and Practical exams and each sem you will have separate cgpa score based on your performance. This curriculum is based on getting your basic concepts strong so you can develop better application in future from this study. It will help you if you are keen to learn and innovate new things.

Placement is strong point of our college. The placement percentage of college for CS/ IT is around 95-98% which is pleasing. Many companies visits our college like Capgemini, Accenture, Interactive Brokers, Quantiphi, Directi, Yardi, Schlumberger, Tiaa and many more. Recruitment is commonly starts with aptitude and coding test followed by 1-3 technical round and then finally HR round. Training program is taken before placement season starts so you can improve your chances to get placed.

Swartarang :Celebrated as Annual Day Function. It is two day event so you can imagine around 45-70 performances in it. This is the main event of our college which gathers around 1000-1500 spectators. Spectrum: Technical Events for college students and students from other colleges can also participate in this event. Also department wise events are arranged to check your various skills.

Fee structure is feasible till date. Program Fee:98000/- per year. Additional fees are taken under name of development activities by college which doesn't made sense to me till date. Also they will charge you extra at start of your course for event so called S+ and it is mandatory to pay the fees otherwise they are not going to confirm your admission. Payment can be done by RTGS, Check and through online modes. College fee breakdown is given in the receipt but it is not that transparent to me.

TFWS(Tuition Fee Weaver Scheme) is scheme is available for students who have score good marks CET. Only 2-3 students from each branch can get this scholarship. So top scorer of each branch gets this scholarship. So to avail this opportunity you need to mention type of seat when you filling out college preference form. If you have selected this option then only you will consider for this scholarship. You just needed to pay 10-12% of program fee every year. I got the Post Matric Scholarship which is government aided scholarship benefitted me to pay 60% of total fees.

Campus area is spread in 13 acres. Campus provides football court, Basketball courts also ground for cricket, table tennis tables etc. so you can enjoy playing various games in campus. Also two canteens are present in campus and food is quite good. Labs are also well equipped with all required instruments. Gender ratio is good in college as it is located in urban locality. Strict rules against ragging or racism are designed by college.

Yes. Hostel is located in college itself so it is very convenient for hostellers to attend college in daily basis. Hostel is alloted on basis of your performance every year. The rooms are shared between 2 or 3 students depends on rooms size. Also hostel is quite good and cleaned on daily basis. Common washrooms are available for students. Room size is perfect based on their capacity. You will not regret taking the hostel rooms. Hostel charges us around 70000 per year.

College seniors are always there to help you. They will guide you when you are stuck at some point. Also they will guide you to do things so that you can benefitted from it and also they plan meeting seminars for juniors so that they can grab better opportunity in future. Also they will keep you aware about on what topic to focus mostly. So overall it's good experience interacting with them. One of my senior provide me exposure towards competitive coding which is benefitted me in future.

I got admission in this college through MAH- CET which is state level entrance exam for engineering and medical students. I opt for Computer Science engineering as it is my passion to become a software developer. There are many reasons one can opt for this college. The main reason I chose this college was it's placements records of previous batches which was quite good. Also complete batch of Computer/ IT was getting good opportunities in top MNC's and good exposure to future technologies. Admission procedure was completely based on how you performed in MAH-CET which is 200 marks test consist of PCM(Physics-Chemistry-Maths) subjects. I was able to score around 140.

Faculty of college is not upto the mark. They are teaching different subjects in each sem. So you will experience lack of confidence in their teaching so you need to focus on self study rather than getting them clear from college faculty. There are some faculty who are passionate and knowledgeable so you can rely on them for clearing your doubts. But otherwise college faculty is kind of average.
