Remarks

College is good to study,but a little bit strict since managed by priests. Students those who need complete freedom can't follow the college entirely.

Internships Opportunities

There is no stipend and internship here. Only campus placements are there. So i dont know what to say about internships. We have Internships/ Industrial visits as a part of our syllabus and so we visit companies for that purpose.

Placement Experience

There is recruitment from various top IT companies like TCS,UST GLobal, Suntech, Mphasis etc and also many other companies coming to acquire students from campus.

College Events

There is an annual cultural programme and tech fest in the college. Onam, Christmas etc are not celebrated because of KTU guideliness. After the new rule from KTU, to improve the count of working days the celebrations are scheduled to happen in non-workng days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is expensive. 75000 per year plus extra fees, the final amt will be near to 85,000. 75000 per year for both management and government seats are the present fee structure with an advance deposit of 1,00,000 rupees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No loans,but there are various number of scholarships.You can acquire any one scholarship and so the fees amount can be deducted.

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities like basket ball,cricket,football,badminton,table tennis,chess are promoted and supported here. various intercollege events are taken place there.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are awesome. Good food and cleanlined atmosphere. There are two big hsotels for boys and girls in the campus itself.

Alumni/Alumna

No comments on that regard.There are lot of seniors and alumni students and so there are a number of meetings of alumni. Everyone has good opinions on college.

Exam Structure

There are internal exams (2nos) per semester and lab exam for internal. The exams are called series exam (may be one as model exam) in a semester.

Faculty

The faculities are more than excellent and you will not get the same in any other colleges in south India. Its the No.1 Private engineering college in Kerala.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
