Course Curriculum Overview

It was a three year course covered in six semesters.We were offered specialization on Bengali, Economics, English,Geography, History,political science, Our exam is based on the lessons tutored in the class.

We have career counselling cell which is structured for providing career guidance to the girls in our college.We are provided with many opportunities under one umbrella. Few companies visits our campus for recruitment

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee in our college is very less for all the courses, my fee for B.A was around Rs.10,000 which is quite feasible and affordable by most of us residing in Murshidabad. We girls here are provided with such opportunity to pursue our higher education in such low amount is something really to envy about.

Campus Life

Our department of Physical education encourage us to take part in sports at national and state level. Few sports like KHO-KHO, basketball and badminton are played by us.Our college organize Annual function where we participate and perform in various cultural activities.

Hostel Facilities

Girls are provided with two hostels , one within the campus and another is 200 meter away from the campus which is the old hostel. Students are provided with gym, Tv room and yoga centers within the campus to pass their leisure time.

Admission

I applied from the college's website , i had to fill a online application form with all my required details, the submission of the application form was online on the admission portal of University Of Kalyani.

Our faculties were very passionate in tutoring us and took interest in clearing our queries . They provided us with immense knowledge in our field, and we are yet to gain more, they provide us with the opportunities we can have to excel in our field.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
