Remarks

College management is extraordinary. College campus is also good. My college is located in very pleasant location which is also a plus point. Overall everything was somewhat good and college days were filled with fun.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is pretty well designed. It's not that hectic atall. Each semester I have to appear semester final exam conducted by the college itself along with there are two sessional exam in each semester.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are good after doing this course and there are regular placements every year as many companies prefer our college students. Many companies like Intel, Accenture etc come in for placements. The minimum package goes around Rs 3 lpa and maximum being 8 lpa.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my opinion Fee structure is expensive. In every semester we have to pay Rs 14,300 for admission purpose. Then in each semester the fee is around 20000 and then for each semester the examination fee varies.

Campus Life

Gender ratio was healthy. Many parties used to take place but mostly at individual level. College hosted only the Fest, that too was sponsored. Extra curricular activities were plenty but the facilities were not the best.

Admission

AISSCE, 85%. CBSE curriculum conducted exam for class XII. There was no interview process. I got admission through the cut off list ie the merit list was out for the college and i could find my name in the very first lost only.

Faculty

The faculties of the college are very much reputable. All are well experienced and have higher degrees some have ph.D degree and maximum have masters degree. They are very knowledgeable and teach us perfectly.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Dumkal College, a loving Study Centre

There are online process of Admission to this College. The authority will publish merit lists according to the marks of Higher Secondary as merit point. So they are clean to their admission policy. No third party public are allowed in this process. The College will give admission menu in their website, and student have to pay the fees at online process. Student don't need to go college untill their final admission done .
