B. Tech electrical engineering is a professional course which has the duration of 4 years and follows semester system. The course involves lots of practicals and research. The days are very hectic and exams are also very tiring.

The institution provides with good education to the students and also provide them with various training programs to help them develop professional attitude. The final year students are provided with on campus placements. Various firms visit and recruit the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college for electrical engineering is around 70 thousand which is very feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

The college focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball and also organize cultural functions like fest and fates in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure. They have auditorium and seminar halls.

To get enrolled in B.Tech program,the candidate should have 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board. I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My JEE scores were not sufficient for me to secure a seat in CSE in any college. Although i had applied to some semi government ones like IPU in delhi and had got a seat in ECE in the main campus, i opted for this one instead keeping the fee structure in mind. Also im a native bengali so i was not willing to travel to delhi for my academics. Though i regret that decision and would not recommend anyone to settle for a college nobody has heard of when you can have a better one instead. I had been selected for NIT Agartala as well in Mechanical branch but ofc i opted for a better branch.
