Shayampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya - Review

The B.Com General course is of 3-year duration consisting of 6 semesters as a whole. I was provided with knowledgable classroom sessions and the curriculum is designed according to the regulations of UGC

As the campus is located in the rural area, we did not find enough time to pursue an internship as it involved traveling a long distance. Regarding placements, we did get some companies offering decent packages.

The fee charged when I pursued this degree was approximately 2000 rupees per annum. This amount of fee is very cheap and feasible for every student on our campus. Also, we paid some amount separately as an exam fee.

Scholarship opportunities are provided for bright students who come from economically backward students. Also, to those students from socially backward groups are also help is extended by our management.

Students actively participate in the NSS unit of our college. It is managed by both students as well as faculty members. Several social activities such as campus cleaning, blood donation camps are conducted.

To pursue a course, the student must submit an application form to the management. It is around 200 rupees. Completion of the 12th standard is enough to be eligible for applying. After getting selected, the student will be enrolled for the course.

The professors of our commerce department are very cool and give liberty for students to explore their interests. They still remain as my inspiration in many aspects of my current life and I miss them a lot.
