Very enjoyable, but more student-oriented and fun. Prioritize more discussions than writing exams. Conduct workshops on specific topics to increase interest in this topic.Our college meets the exam criteria of the University of Calcutta. Semester-based exams twice a year with Viva. We are writing a college exam. However, questions are being prepared by the university itself

Placement Experience

Very good for the college in our department. Companies like TCS and ICICI come to the BPO or sales sector for on-campus interviews. They offer a package of up to 2 lakhs per year. Students who have passed or final year may sit for the interview process.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is practical. It is a government-aided college. So, there are no pocket burning fees. However, our college journalism, mass com, microbiology and computer science courses only offer self-help options.

Campus Life

Programs such as the annual College Fest and Freshers Wellcome each year. In addition, different MNCs sometimes offer different programs, such as the Gulf Manchester United Fan Academy. Maggie came up with different games and prizes.

Admission

First, fill out the online form from the college website. Wait for the merit list they publish based on your marks. Then go to counseling on the specified date. If you are selected, complete the required IT procedures and submit the admission fee to the bank, as stated by the college staff.

Faculty

The faculty is highly qualified. But some of them need to promote student-friendly teaching rather than methodology. However, all the faculty are well trained and experienced. They are always there to solve our problems.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college 5 minutes distance from bidhannagar station and my home is in Kakinada with allows me to go in one train and it takes the time about one hour to reach this college. I have got a chance in the serampore College which was huge distance for me to travel daily and after getting admitted in this college it seems to me that this is one of the best reasons that I have taken.
