Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for B.Com covers all the aspects related to financing, accounting and business laws. The students have to select an elective for themselves which they wish to study apart from B.Com to gain knowledge. The duration of the course is 3 years and is further divided into 6 semesters.
Placement Experience
The college has a decent ratio for placements and has been trying to improve it every year. About 80% of the interested students got placed this year and the rest also got jobs in off campus recruitment. Some companies that regularly come for recruitment purpose are TCS, Nicco Ventures, SRF Ltd, Tech Mahindra, Air Cell, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for B.Com Hons. from the college is very affordable and inexpensive. The college helps the students with low economic background but they just have to submit a statement showing their family?s annual income is less than 4.5 lakhs.
Campus Life
The students are involved in a number of co-curricular activities. The college does not only support cultural co-curricular activities but there are other societies like finance & investment cell, entrepreneurship cell and many more which are quite famous too.
Admission
I am currently pursuing B.Com Hons. from WBSU, Barasat. The eligibility criteria to get in is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam i.e, 10+2 in which the students should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and should have studies Mathematics and English.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is very supportive and understanding. The professors have immaculate knowledge about the subject and have a good amount of experience in teaching or in the corporate sector and therefore, their advice are very resourceful.
