Remarks

The SIVET college is a great study place for anyone who wants to pursue a Bachelors or Masters in Commerce or related subjects and that too at an affordable price. The college has great supportive faculties, degree programs are really industry and a good placement cell with great placement record. Overall, the education quality is of very high level. The infrastructure is also very neat and clean and many students from other states also come here to study here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my college, the course curriculum is regularly updated and are mainly focused on industry standards. According to me SIVET is best for it's commerce faculty, especially B.Com. Other departments also has awesome faculty, the studying experience is a level higher in respect to other colleges around and for the students who want to pursue a career in commerce, B.Com is best for studying. Exams are held on the basis of semesters. Each semester has atleast 6 subjects. The passing criteria is to get a percentage above 35 in each subject and totally we have six semester in three years. Our college is affiliated to Madras University and there are totally 6 semesters for our course.

Placement Experience

5

SIVET is a good college for it's placement cell and placements are also high here. More than 50% of the students from my batch of 2018 got internships with a package of roughly around 7,000-13,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, Wipro, TOI, ICICI Bank, Axis, Kotak Mahindra Bank and many more. Our college provides specific focussed training in collabartion with SAI IAS Academy and are given to write TNPSC, SSC, CGL and foundation for UPSC exams.Commerce students are provided with additional certification courses in TALLY ERP 9 with GST & Payroll, Digital Marketing.Nearly about 78% students from my batch got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 16,000 per month and the average salary is Rs. 23,000 per month.

College Events

4

Our college organises many workshops, seminars, Tech Fests and also sends the good students to other colleges to participate in competitions. Some of the cultural events that are organised every year are Sports events (like football, cricket, etc.), Environment Day, Independence Day, Fresher's parties, annual day and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total tuition fee for B.Com students is ?70,000/-, which compared to other colleges fees is very low. There is also an option to apply for scholarships for those who have good academic record and also for the financially weak students.

Campus Life

5

Our college hosts many workshops, seminars and inter-college competitions, Sports events like football, cricket, etc., Fresher's parties, etc... Fests are organised on a yearly basis and are the best part of the college. This is a college where I have spent 3 years of studying Bachelor's and haven't ever faced any sort of discrimination and this is a very important factor for any student. The Male:Female gender ratio is 1.0:1.12 which is good.

Admission

I chose to study at SIVET College because of the high quality education environment it provides and that too at a very low cost. For my admission to the SIVET College, I had to get a good cut-off based on my 12th board exam marks. I got 76% in my boards and certainly I got admission into the college. I went to the college for the counselling followed by verification of my original documents.

Faculty

5

The faculty of our college is very knowledgeable, they have great level of expertise and experience in their respective subjects. They are very motivating and supportive, and guided us throughout the 3 years of our degree program. Most of the professors have a PhD in their majors are really great teachers to learn from.
