Remarks

My overall college life was awesome because of the faculty, good infrastructure, tech-based events and the placements. Overall our campus is the best when compared to all other colleges around us and they not alone teach engineering they teach us how to live as engineers in real life, the practical standards given by our college is really awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Computer Science and Engineering because I love to code and for me Computer is the most passionate field to study and work. Being so much passionate about computer science, I chose JIT to pursue my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering and now I feel like I took a perfect decision to study from JIT. The Course curriculum is very nice here, especially the faculties are awesome as the break each topic into parts, so that it becomes easy for us to understand. The exam structure is same as Anna University model. Three internals are conducted and the internal marks are added up, which is then added to the semester marks.

Placement Experience

5

Mostly, students who clear all subjects get placed from our college. The training given in the Placement Cell is innovative and extra-ordinary. The aptitude tests and GD sessions in the Placement training are enjoyed the most. Nearly 75% of the students were placed in my batch. The highest salary package is ?35,000 per month, offered by HCL, while ?12,000 per month was the lowest. The average salary package offered is around 3 LPA. Top roles offered in our course are analyst, software developer and tester. Most of the companies provide internships based on the students' capacity. Nearly 80% of the companies provide internships here. Wipro, TCS, HCL were the top recruiting companies in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at JIT is very nominal when compared to the other colleges. The tuition fee includes books, practicals, labs, many incentives and other facilities for every student. Tution Fee is ?58,000 per annum and the Hostel and Transportation fee is ?72,000 which I think is very cheap in terms of the service we get.

Campus Life

5

Our College organises lots of events. Cultural programs include dancing, singing, drawing competitions. TechFests are organised on a yearly basis. Some events include circuit debugging, line follower, hackathon, coding competitions, PUBG tournaments, and other games and tech related tournaments. IEEE organizes many events at our College campus. We have all kinds of sports and games like basketball, football, cricket and all other indoor games.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes I am a hostel student and it was very nice staying in the hostel. The hostel buildings are really nice to look at and also big enough to accommodate many students. Rooms are very clean. The cleaning faculty clean the room every day. Food in our college is very good and healthy. Every day chef comes and asks for the review of the food. The hostel and the canteen complement eachother and the prices are very reasonable.

Admission

Firstly, I cleared my 10+2 examination with good overall percentage which helped me get a decent cut-off. The cut-off was then taken into consideration for the counselling conducted by TNEA where I applied for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology and luckily I got selected. Generally, the Cut-off percentage is 45% for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC in Higher Secondary Examination.

Faculty

5

Most of the professors are masters in certain fields of engineering and few of them have PhD also. Teachers here are the back bones to every student life. They put the utmost efforts during the semester examinations. The faculties are best in providing clarity for subjects specifically as they have experiences in certain specified fields. The course curriculum is relevant and make sense and it makes the students industry ready.
